text-only post

I hate trying to come up with blog topics. When all else fails, and by "else" I mean my profound realizations about life, I usually resort to movie reviews. But I haven't seen any movies lately, and I'm not feeling very profound lately. The reason this is a text-only post is because I'm at work, and I don't have the capacity to right click, plus it's a mac, and I'm not very familiar with how to steal pics on a mac. So, maybe if you're good on a mac, you could point me in the right direction?

Until I figure it out, Celeb Dish will be comatose for a while, as getting back on the computer when I get home is the LAST thing I want to do after being on the comps all day long. Oh but rest assured I keep up-to-date on all the vag slips, DUIs, and AA attendance at various times throught-out my "work" day. I put "work" in quotes because I just started at a publishing company as a production editor, and I won't get my first project until January. So now I mostly do second reads on automotive buying guides, baseball hall of fame books, and today, I get to read about the presidents, but in kids-format. I'm really looking forward to that one, it'll be like a slice of pie compared to editing entries about the Toyota Tacoma SL and all its various features. But my co-workers aren't working all that much either; I guess it's just a slow time of the year? I'm enjoying it thus far, and I can't wait for my first manuscript. I hope it's something more historical than inspirational because if I have to read Chicken Soup for the Soul-type books, I might turn...sympathetic.

Somewhat on the subject of Celeb Dish, I went out to dinner with my brother and his girlfriend a couple weeks ago, and he's really interested in financing Celeb Dish and making it into a real website. Or, he said he'd provide capital and contacts, and I just have to maintain updated content. Anybody have any ideas/suggestions? Do you see this even working? There's like thousands of celebrity blogs out there, and I don't really know how different Celeb Dish is from all the others. I'm not a snarky gay man and that's pretty much the majority of blogs out there, so I've got that going for me. But further than that....I don't know. We obvs have to have a sit-down about it to see if this is even feasible.

One last thing: CALLING ALL BURBANITES--even if you live in the city now, you will most likely be in the burbs for Christmas. SO Kristin and I are going to go out on Christmas night because we want an excuse to a) go out, and more importantly, b) have an excuse to get away from our families. If you're in, call one of us.
